The Best EQ Built for Drums
DF-Q2 is the first EQ designed by mix engineers specifically for mixing drums to bridge the gap between technicality and musicality. Drumforge has taken some of the most popular and sought-after drum EQ techniques and combined them into one plugin, allowing you to get the eq results that you need without requiring you to own different types of equalizers. Define your best drum sounds with DF-Q2.
Unleash the Power of Parallel Processing
Whether your drums need drastic or minimal EQ, DF-Q2 allows to you easily make those adjustments and then blend them in with the mix knob. With parallel EQ, you can shape your drum sound to exactly how you envision it. Automate the mix knob to create a more dynamic drum performance in your song. This allows you to get of all the punch, attack, and clarity your mix needs, while preserving the original tone of your drums.
Drum EQ Made Musical
This tool was created with simplicity in mind so that all of the technical aspects of eqing are removed. Channel your creativity by using your ears and not your eyes. Turn a knob to add low end PUNCH, dial your range and find the perfect ATTACK, or press a button for pristine CLARITY. DF-Q2 makes drum mixing fun again!
Dynamic EQ
DF-Q2’s new dynamic EQ modes gives you the ability to do powerful EQ processing techniques. Easily reduce cymbal bleed from your kick, snare, and tom tracks. Bring to life the transients of a drum performance to get more excitement without affecting the natural tone of the body. Or combine both processes to achieve transformational EQ effects to restore poor recorded performances and turn them into something you can actually use in a mix. DF-Q2’s dynamic modes give you unprecedented equalization power.

The DF-Q2 is excellent for mixing drums. This plugin makes it incredibly easy to dial in punch, clarity, and body without the usual guesswork of stacking multiple equalizers.
What makes it stand out:
Its very well designed specifically for drum frequencies, saving massive amounts of mixing time.
Its got intelligent curves and the equalization feels highly musical, allowing you to boost or cut aggressively while keeping the drums sounding natural.
It gives you instant results by cleaning up muddy low mids and adds top end sheen with just a few quick adjustments.
So if you want your acoustic or sampled drums to cut through a dense mix with minimal effort, DF-Q2 is a must have tool for your plugin toolkit.
It adds punch and also compresses the bass drum sound which is perfect for metal!!!!!!! Love it I got a lot of products from Drumforge also use on my live twitch stream too!!!!!
since i got it, it's sitting on my drum bus as well as other tracks. very sounding and intuitive; for the deal price it's just a no brainer.recommended
“Drumforge, you’re missing a trick here. This plugin belongs in the hands of breakbeat producers. It adds a whole new dimension.”
This eq is GREAT! It it such a huge time saver. Sure, the EQ moves are premade... BUT, they are genuine moves that i or any engineer would do. SUPER solid plugin!
For $12 I thought I’d give this EQ plugin a try. I have a Plugin Alliance subscription, which has amazing EQs, but the simplicity of DF-Q2 has made it my go to EQ. With the turn of a few knobs I can sculpt the sound to fit the mix without changing the fundamental sound. Highly recommend DF-Q2!
excellent eq, very easy to use!
The best EQ i've ever use🙌🏻🔥
When the pandemic happened I had a lot of time on my hands being home. I had built a small room in my garage to practice my drums. One mic after another it became a small home studio where now I track a lot of drums. Fast forward, I spent some time on different SSL channel strips and for the most part I wrapped my head around it enough to get by. But I’m a drummer first, I checked out DF-Q and was blown away on how as a drummer I know what I want them to sound like. And now with DF-Q2 and the new interface how it’s laid out it makes more sense. I don’t have to spend hours trying to figure out a EQ frequency to get a sound. I just let me ears tell me what sounds good and how my drums should sound! Thanks Drum Forge for letting me a drummer first

A great addition to all my other drum forge plugins
It's always fun to have quality plugins that I don't fully understand. I could read the manual but I'm enjoying my happy accidents.
