THE SIGNATURE SOUNDS OF A METAL LEGEND
In the last 3 decades of heavy music production, if we think of timeless drum sounds which stand out, many mixers and producers would mention the genius of producer Daniel Bergstrand. At the forefront of European metal production since the 90s, Daniel’s unique drum sounds have inspired us and became some of the most recognizable sounds on the albums which so many metalheads love. Daniel is directly responsible for working with some of the most influential metal artists on the planet. Artists like Meshuggah, Behemoth, In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, Soilwork, Devin Townsend, and so many more have trusted Daniel to help them bring their musical intensity to life. It's our distinct honor to work with Daniel and take all of his favorite, signature drum sounds, and put them into one plugin, worthy bearing his name. You’ll be able to use these sounds to create endless metal glory in your own productions. We hope you enjoy using it as much as we did creating it.
100% AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED
This library contains the actual drum sounds Daniel uses in the real world in his mixes. This is not some stock library remixed over and over, or some library recorded by a producer that never gets used in their actual mixes. This is the real deal. No compromises. No substitutions. Period.
FORGE YOUR PERFECT DRUM KIT
Every drum production starts with the kit and how it’s captured on recording. With Drumforge Bergstrand, Daniel sampled the drums in a variety of scenarios to provide you with the ultimate flexibility. You get to create a drum sound built from a combination of Daniels unique and characteristic engineering setups all within the dedicated drum kit builder. Watch Daniel’s making of video to learn more about his approach to engineering.
MIX IN THE BOX SAMPLER
To supercharge Daniel’s signature drum sample library, we created a powerful, premium mixing engine with built in DSP modules designed specifically for mixing your best drum sounds. In fact, the mixing environment allows you to make near exact recreations of your favorite drum mixes. Insert your favorite Drumshotz or one-shot wav files into your mix for layering and stacking intense drum tones. Whether you are trying to capture the sound of your favorite drum mix or forging your own drum sound, Drumforge Bergstrand gives you the power to get amazing mixes without leaving the plugin.
SUPERCHARGE YOUR SONGWRITING
Suffering from writer’s block? The Drumforge Bergstrand plugin features a simple to use Song Builder designed to make songwriting effortless. Use the Groove & Fill Playlist to quickly find drum grooves and fills. Drag your favorites into the song builder queue to build your song and the intelligent fill logic will automatically insert your selected drum fills at the end of the bars. You’ll spend less time clicking and more time making music, and that’s what matters most.
CUTTING EDGE SAMPLER TECHNOLOGY
Drumforge has given a lot of thought to recreating human-like drum performances with the sampler and has come up with a few exciting ways to achieve that. Starting with samples taken of both the left and right kick drum beaters on each kick along with our Foot Switching algorithm that allows you to program your kick parts with a single midi note while having the left and right foot samples alternate based on speed. We’ve also provided control over the volume level of each individual velocity layer for each articulation so you can adjust for drum-fill realism. For those who want to further enhance the performance over the velocity and gain of samples, there is a velocity interpretation curve so you can make the difference between loudest and softest hits more or less dynamic or anything in between. Finally, Drumforge Bergstrand features an excellent and time-tested smoothing algorithm in between successive hits to make drum programming sound more like real drum performances.
INCLUDES GROOVES
Drumforge Bergstrand includes European Metal Grooves Vol. 1 Lite to jumpstart your creative process. There is a much more complete groove pack for full immersion into European Metal song writing. Click here to download the full version of these grooves as masterfully performed by drum virtuoso Leo Margarit of Pain Of Salvation.

Glad I found this plug in. Quality is awesome.
I have a lot of drum libraries but this is on another level.
Just amazing!!!
Thank you!
The sound is just amazing (especially kicks and snares)! One of the most mix-ready kits (I have many-many drum libraries). The drumforge interface is indeed innovative (I alredy liked drumforge classic), very easy to navigate and understand! Perhaps the only drawback is the limited number of crash cymbals, however, with the 4 mic faders and config optioins (pitch) and mixer's effects, very different sounds can be set quickly. As a metal drummer and producer, I would highly recommend this library! Bergstrand is a genious and the drumforge team is one of the most innovatives and helpful guys!
I have faced to some bugs (similar to drumforge, e.g. loss of maps and presets and some random quits) but the team is very helpful and friendly! They answer and help you very soon!
This is an amazing purchase from Drumforge! It’s super easy to use and incredibly versatile with options to use other packs and plugins as well as individualize Your I/Os for specific individual midi mixing. This product has gotten me through projects quickly and efficiently with an easy to use interface.
It sounds good but occasionally crashes my DAW which never usually crashes. The GUI is too small for me to see properly, especially the EQ and you can't scale it. I've had to drop my resolution down to 1080p and even then i want it bigger. No excuse in 2022 for any VST to not be resize able to full screen. There's a scaler in the options but it's already at max
Great stuff from Drumforge!
Excellent, beautiful, amazing, high-quality, includes ready-made presets (an equalizer and all other twists (because there are a lot of them)), you can already throw what you wrote into a guitar pro and work with a midi file (it's very convenient), service support responds very quickly! and is ready to help you in everything! even if you are just starting out and do not know what a DAW is, here they will help you no matter what, and especially no matter where you come from (in our time this is very important). big thanks to the DrumForge team, thanks to Daniel Bergstrand, and a special big thanks to support member Sam :-)
Loads of professional recorded samples and it is definitely a game changer!
Finally I can enjoy my favourite In Flames sound in my musical context. After a short learning curve, you can quickly create a good drum sound for composing. And if you route the signal via multi out, you can even do completely crazy things. The library is very specific and niche, but cool and pure METAL pleasure. The midimap could still be refined a little, but otherwise everything runs smoothly.
Excellent sound. It is very easy to use and the mixing features within the plugin are great. Really complete plugin and at a very good price.
I feel that the three-dimensional effect is clearly good. If you turn off the effect, you can use it for songs that are not intense.
Drum forge Bergstrand is a really cool and heavy.
Huge Bergstrand fanboy, and these did not disappoint at all. I use Drumforge Samplers for all my projects that need virtual drums. This one excels at rawer styles of metal, but couple probably fit in with a lot of heavier projects. Huge sounds, easy layering, and the MIDI player is an enormous upgrade. Highly recommend. If only the ELE edition had a sampler... ;)
I have been involved in music production for over 20 years, during which time I have tried almost every drum sampler out there.
I have to say that this is the best I have heard so far!
Dynamic natural sounding drums, for me it's the number one choice at the moment. Soon these sounds will appear on productions I'm currently working on.

An awesome and dynamic drum kit.
The localization is subtle, but the sound is thick and easy to use.
The presets are ready to use quality.
Already had a bunch of different drum programs but this one definitely does what it’s meant to do. Instantly sounds like bergstand.
What I love most about this sampler are the presets that are already mixed. I'm not an expert when it comes to mixing drums, although I always spend a lot of time on it. With this sampler, I can finally see and hear exactly what good drum mixes sound like. I've already learned so much from this, and that's even though I had subscribed to Nail the Mix. I can finally understand everything and have the same plugins because they are inside the sampler.
The sound of the drums is of course world class.
Very practical and easy to use. Time to a mix ready drum-line is very short. Still a lot of possibilities to deeply influence and change the sound of the set. Easy to integrate own one-shot samples (which is not possible with a lot of other products).
Mixer layout is like a hardware mixer, so super-easy to use.
Interface is not resizeable - therefore a bit small on UHD screens, UI looks a bit old fashioned but it is very useful and intuitive.
The groove-builder is super cool and easy (even considers fills and connects them to the following groove to get a full bar measure).
Highly recommended!
Sound great highly recommend
Each drum sound is world class and ready to use in a mix out the box. The midi editor is exceptional makes songwriting a breeze.
Not bad. Sounds are pretty good. Still needs some improvement.
It's perfect for me, budget friendly & excellent results
Awesome sounding kits. If you want fat, organic European metal sounding drums this is the one to go for.
The sound quality of this absolutely blew me away! With some panning, this VST sounds like the real thing. So many options for drums and customization!
